As Presbyterians, we are invested in education--using the minds God gave us to ask questions, learn and discover, while growing in our faith and being formed spiritually! Here at Grace Presbyterian we have a few Spiritual Formation and Christian Education options:
Sunday School: We have one Sunday School class, run as a hybrid Zoom/in-person class, which meets in our church library. The class usually watches a video curriculum lesson, and aftewards engages in discussion. Special curriculum is used during Advent and Lent, and suggestions are welcomed at all times! The class has studied the teachings of Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, pastor Adam Hamilton, and series from "The Great Courses" about things like Buddhism, Islam, and Confucianism; and about how extra-canonical books of faith, among many others. You are always welcome to join the class--if you would like the Zoom link, please be in touch with our office: 501-225-3274, gracepresby@sbcglobal.net and we will get you connected to the Sunday School leader; or come to the church at 9a.m. Sundays, go to the middle building, the center red door, and the library is on your left
Presbyterian Women: Grace Presbyterian has a chapter of the Presbyterian Women, abbreviated PW, which meets monthly, September through May on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 10a.m. to 12p.m. The lesson is led by a different member each month, based on the Horizons Bible Study put out by the national PW. This class meets in the library, which can be found in the middle building on campus, the center red door, and the library is to your left once you enter. If you have questions or would like to connect with our PW leaders, please call the office at 501-225-3274 or email: gracepresby@sbcglobal.net
Bible Studies: We sometimes have specialized bible studies, lasting for a few weeks, often during special seasons of the year. To find out if we have a bible study coming up, and any other information about them, please contact the office at 501-225-3274, gracepresby@sbcglobal.net
Movies with a Message: Every few months or so, after worship, we eat lunch and watch a movie together, not only to connect us in fellowship, but to connect our faith to the stories and narratives we watch. In the past we have watched movies such as "Steel Magnolias", "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood", and "The Nativity", as well as many more. We always welcome movie suggestions, and to find out if we are having a Movies with a Message Sunday, or more information about it, please contact the office at 501-225-3274, or gracepresby@sbcglobal.net
