The Presbyterian church is governed by an elected, representative government. In our congregation that means we are governed by our ruling elders (usually just called elders) and our pastor. The pastor is called to the congregation and is the moderator of the Session, which is the decision-making body for the congregation. The Pastor, as moderator, and the ruling elders elected for their term, make up the Session.

Our Session--which is open to nominated and elected full members of the congregation--serves two year terms. An elder can serve 2 terms in a row, after which they must be off of the session for one year, before serving again.
Our current session in 2024 is:
Andrea Choate, co-Clerk of Session
Bob Buckalew, Administration Committee/Finance Committee/Stewardship Committee and the Technology Advisory Board
Jerry Herbert, Facilities Committee
Martha Thannisch, co-Clerk of Session and Christian Education Committee/Spiritual Life Committee
